Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Small and cozy place. Their fish and chips has several choice of fish meat. Currently they have alaskan pollock which taste mild and fishy. Their butterfish taste like chicken but with white fish meat texture. Both are cooked well with balanced mix of coating and meat. The seating are comfortable, maybe not so suitable for groups bigger than 4 as it is a small place. Went there for lunch on a weekday and it is not crowded and nice ambience. They have other non fish and chips menu like burger sets and snack platters too."
"A good place for Fish and Chips. It’s hard to find a restaurant that specializes in Fish and Chips in Kuching, so this eatery is a must visit. Service wast fast despite the crowd. I love the idea of being able to choose my fish instead of just having one type of fish on the menu like most western restaurants in Kuching"
"This establishment offers the finest fish and chips I have encountered in Kuching, distinguished by both its reasonable pricing and generous portion sizes. The freshness of their fish is notable, and their hot snack platter is truly delightful. It has certainly become my preferred destination whenever I crave fish and chips."
"Going in for my first try, my expectations were high because of the many good reviews about this establishment. Service: The waiters and waitresses were friendly and helpful — thumbs up, commendable. Price: Affordable and worth the value. Location and parking: Convenient and easy to find parking."
"The best fish and chips i've ever tried so far. You get to choose 4 types of fish, served with their homemade tartar sauce. The fishes are battered and seasoned well to crispy and light texture. The fishes served are fresh and still maintain their healthy fat which is the keypoint to a good fish fillet. Not to forget, the snacks are served in big generous portion. The prices here are too good to be true, I can guarantee you would love it. I personally would pay another visit here again !"
"A hidden gem in Kuching! The fish and chips here are honestly some of the best I’ve had — golden, crispy batter on the outside and tender, juicy fish on the inside. You can tell everything is freshly prepared. The portion size is generous, and the side of fries and slaw complements the meal perfectly. I also tried their calamari rings — super crispy and not oily at all! The place is clean, cozy, and has a cool minimalist vibe. Service was fast and friendly too. Definitely a must-try spot for anyone craving quality fish and chips in Kuching. I’ll be back for sure!"
"Alaskan Pollock no available so go with seabass fish and chips. Quite a nice one! The chips is fresh and the fish also ok. Just the coleslaw taste a bit weird. But overall is a good one. The plate is the old fashion paint coated steel plate. This is rare."
"Had their butter fish and sea bass. Produce is aa fresh as it gets. You taste the fish more than you taste the batter. Chef, owner and eveeyone is very tentative and overall a great experience. They also make their own tartar sauceand its not overpowering. Recommended! Update review: Been coming here every time in back to kuching and they have a new(to me) menu, the Alaska Pollock. Recommend everyone to try it out. No regrets from our side. We honestly over-ordered but again, no regrets. Great food, good spend, zero compromise on their quality as always. Keep up the amazing standard Kingfisher"
